Apologies for my continued absence of late.

This has not been due to technical difficulties, but to the fact that I have been moving house, trying to finish my PhD draft, applying for jobs, and the small matter of getting married.

Lol.

That happens tomorrow, folks.

Yep, the next time that I see my lovely Ali Pup, she will be walking down the aisle of the church.

It is a strange feeling. Certainly not anything that I have felt before. I am not nervous, or apprehensive, or worried, or any of those things.

I am excited, but that's not quite it.

I am happy, but that is not the half of it.

It just feels good. A little strange, and yes, perhaps I am somewhat nervous, but all in all, it feels good.

I am very blessed to have such a cool girlfriend and soon to be wife.

Anyway, I will fill you in on all the details when I get back from our honeymoon (a secret location). I have much to tell of the previous month's activities.

This includes all your usual nonsense as well as the slightly interesting fact that I am getting married tomorrow!

If I have not replied to your emails, please forgive me. I will be slightly absent for the next while.

In the meantime, take care of your bad self, and be excellent to one another.

Dear blog, dear readers,

Sorry for forsaking you this past week. My thoughts have been preoccupied by nothing but carpets, curtains, furniture, paint, stepladders, lightbulbs, detox, newspaper, cardboard boxes, cupboards, bathroom tiles, j-cloths... yada yada...

This past week has been spent decorating our new flat.

More on that later, as it is now time for tea. And, to be frank, my brain is about to melt and pour out of my ears.

Apologies for my lack of posts this past week or so, but I am under a lot of pressure at the moment to sort out all this crap that i need to get sorted out.
